Rukmani consistently stood first in academics, not just among her peers but among all students studying at the local school based in her village in Sidhupalchowk. This was a status that she had earned herself through her impressive discipline and dedication to work.
But her academic journey was all set to hit a snag, when Earthquake of 2015 took away the already meagre property that her family had. Bloom Nepal School's scholarship proved to a gift that prevented her permanent dissociation with education.
At Bloom, Rukmani grew to be an independent and confident young woman, and excelled at everything she did. Of the many awe-inspiring achievements, we like to recall the gains she had made with her spoken English. From not being able to read to being a public speaker, Rukmani achieved the feat in just a period of one year !
Rukmani graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA in her secondary finals. She is now studying at CCRC college with scholarship support from Canopy Nepal and works part time at Bloom Nepal School. Rukmani has big dreams for her future and these dreams do not seem impossible at all, now that her education has given courage to look forward.
